Marimba, vibraphone, clarinet, two violins, viola, pizzicato strings, cithara barbarica, percussion: A cheerful coexistence of rule and indiscipline, structure and chaos, tradition and avant-garde. In seven eights (in Hiligaynon, "pito ka walo").

As it is more and more the case these days, this piece was born with a simple, linear theme, which I began to distort and layer with its echoes. It's a piece that's perhaps jazzy, perhaps neoclassical, for piano, bass, and percussion.

A Stór (Irish for "my treasure") is a piece for marimba, piano, and fretless bass. It’s inspired by Piazzolla and dedicated to Tiziana.

The bass I used here is a 1960s Höfner 182 that I’ve had since the 90s. A friend removed its frets and painted it black, and I recently updated the pickups. Do you like its sound? ^_^
