Still putting the multipoint lock replacement off (no locksmiths have been available).

I'm 90% sure I can do that now, after quite a bit of study on it. Cutting is involved, so I wanted to make sure I gleaned it.

That’s the main goal before end of weekend.

These two vids made the difference for me about process. By watching them the shitty instructions on the lock package made more sense.

For as long as I've been in the fedi, we've been house-hunting. My growth in woodworking, etc, always hampered by space constraints. We recently found a big home with garden and I've been throwing myself into needed renovation work.

Eventually I'll get back to the wood and tools and setting up the atelier. I look forward to it.

All these activities are the kinds of topics I share and talk about, and I generally follow friendly people doing similar roll-up-the-sleeves work.

I’ve been in the fedi via masto since April 2017. I’ve hopped around five different instances, always to smaller. I’m now happy where I am, under an alias, because while I have different interests, they largely center around conservation, home, garden, and DIY.

Of particular interest to me is traditional woodworking, including old tool restoration, and tool-making. I've picked up a growing interest in leather-working and metal-working, too, and I’d like to try working with stone…

I appreciate people at the top of their #woodworking game, producing stunning products… artists, craftsfolk, ‘pros’. But I don’t want only pictures of glossy finished products. That’s what magazines are for.

Here I want to see and know about your tools, your atelier, and you. I want to know how you work, what your processes are throughout a project. Talk about your background, how you got into the trade, hobby, interest. Share tricks and methods.
