A crazy gust of wind just lifted the garden parasol clean up in the air and down onto the back of a metal bistro chair causing a linear tear about 15cm long. I am not big on sewing so my first thought was to get some iron on tape/patch. But the fabric is polyester, which I know doesn’t play well with heat. Any ideas? If they involve sewing they have to be for a novice and not require a machine!

Since we started to tackle the over abundance of dogwood in the garden I can now see this fiery winged spindle, or burning bush, from the kitchen sink. Still a huge amount of work to do but little things like this are making all the difference, especially when the sun shines.
