@ben An Egg's Guide To Minecraft actually touched on this idea. the whole bit was that the protagonist, Jason (an egg) and Steve were being chased by the monsters and then suddenly the screen goes white, and everyone ends up an in Iron Block room. Steve wakes up to find the monsters just. hanging out as if they weren't just chasing them, one's even reading a magazine. Jason points out that there's an update and signals towards a counter on the upper wall.

once the update completes everyone wakes up where they once were, having fallen to the ground. everyone's a bit confused, and so the Steve asks the mobs if they should continue running, and then the camera cuts to the chase continuing. good bit
