Watching a video made me remember going to school and being told not to bring calculators or they would be seized.
And even after years passed, and calculators were allowed, and students could use calculators even during tests, I remember not using calculators because to me, personally, it felt like I was cheating.
Edit: sometimes I feel inordinately old.
