Someone else is working on my bike (replacing chain and cassette), I’ve resisted the urge to hover over the process like a protective mother bear, and have gone for a walk.

If those gears changed any quicker I’d suspect they were some kind of mutant mind readers. (New chain and cassette is lovely).
-
I totally didn’t just headbutt the bike while trying to get a closer look at the shiny new cassette.

The previous chain and cassette lasted me 5175km, so let's see how this one does.

It’s the day for shiny new bike things apparently; Ortliebs arrived.
-
Swapping things form old panniers to new panniers: I found some trail mix of unknown vintage (but at least it wasn't an apple this time).
Also these Ortliebs might be the bastard child of a TARDIS; they look all small and unassuming, till you put A LOT of stuff in them and they're somehow still mostly empty.

The Ortleib handlebar mount: I had my doubts about its rigidity.
Then I got to the 'pull the cable' part and it was "ooh", and tighten the first clamp "ahah, right", then tighten the cable "oh, yeah, I get it now", then tighten the second clamp and it's just "oh right, yeah I could balance a herd of elephants on that thing and it wouldn't move."

@TicklishHoneyBee
I think you might have hit a pedestrian there.

@Maker_of_Things You don't have skeleton guards in your garage?
