I choose to maintain that modern cars mostly look like fucking trash and are also huge and rubbish. And that we could as a society pivot to tiny and beautiful and interesting electric cars of every single shape and design when they're going to mostly drive slowly between two close destinations, or sit in traffic between two close destinations. Me? I'd choose taxis exclusively of the hauntingly looming in foggy darkness type, as displayed here! I'd pay more for them!

@sinituulia I really don't understand why not a single car manufacturer takes one of the old classic car designs and just shoves a battery and an electric drive into it. There is no need for bulky cars anymore now that the electric way is so flexible.
Just imagine one of the first cars ever built but brand new and whisper silent.

@Fettlaus @sinituulia afaik sadly most of those early designs were quite unsafe both for their occupants and for pedestrians, they would have to be redesigned quite heavily to comply with modern standards
even (especially) in countries where those standards are somewhat sane, and aren't designed to use “bigger than anybody else” as the only way to protect the occupants
it's probably much easier to design a new car from scratch, only keeping the old measurements, to the detriment of just the aesthetics.
(if somebody wants to give me a free 1990s panda 4x4 with an electric conversion I won't say no, however :D )
