In Québec, we say "avoir les deux yeux dans l'même trou," to say that we are very tired, it translates to "having the two eyes in the same hole."

In this case what's the meaning of "bine", please?
The CNRTL isn't very helpful… -
@GustavinoBevilacqua @rek it's "beans" referring to baked beans, which are served with some lard traditionally, hence "graisse de bine"

@GustavinoBevilacqua thank you for mentioning that dictionary! lost the link at some point, and have been looking for it for ages
-
If you are using Firefox you can even add the CNRTL to the list of search engines directly available from the search box.
-
@GustavinoBevilacqua oh yeah I remember that option. although I am immediately worried about it feeding some ai **** though
-
I don't know if the latest versions of Firefox will send to some AI the words typed in the search box.
I hope not.

@GustavinoBevilacqua well the fact that they included stuff like this https://eldritch.cafe/@jor/114275361287763216 * in their latest updates
does not indicate otherwise unfortunately. I am even more annoyed because everything is onand I have so much to deal with, that I could not follow every detail around this, because I do not want to propagate false information and be alarmist
*I can translate if you do not understand french easily

I'm still using FF68 to avoid these issues!

@GustavinoBevilacqua and things work normally in the browser? I did stop updating at some point when I knew that they were introducing/forcing bad stuff (softwares/systèmes d'exploitaion .. in general) but I don't know I guess I screwed up and just went "f** it" at some point, maybe they'll slow down with their bs at some point ... lol.
re: things not working normally: because without updating ios on ipad for instance, some sites don't work
maybe I will go back to an earlier version (time to -
