Couple of small jobs ticked off so far today.
The fill in piece at the outboard end of the Nook++ that makes the bed base with the table.
Plus the first shelf. This takes one small Ikea wood box. Next shelf up will be wide enough for two boxes.
Will be cubby storage underneath. -
The base for the aft section of the Nook++ which is also the lid of this part of the main water tank under the saloon floor.
The tank fill, draw, vent and gauge will be in the aft section of this.
I still need to create the under supports that will be epoxied in and which this will bolt to. -
Meanwhile Jane has been creating a curtain that will be the "Door" to the corridor to our cabin. It's designed to be great for sound absorption.
-
I've dry fitted the shelf front along the full length of the Nook++
-
The foot of the Nook++ in bed mode extends under the galley worktop extension and the Sailrite sewing machine fits perfectly there. As we won't normally need to use the Nook++ as a bed this is really convenient and makes great use of the space.
-
Checking the first half of the corridor curtain door for fit and colour.
The fabric was a fantastic bargain from Emmaus South Manchester, we've got several different rolls (donated to Emmaus by a company who reupholster aeroplanes). -
