I could just kiss my husband for choosing to wear a bright yellow jacket for this hike. It's a nice little visual detail in the photos of blue and white.

I always insist on my climbing partners wearing red, orange or yellow, for the photographising. One insists on black, and we don’t like it.

Black is good just for climbing in marble quarries

@GustavinoBevilacqua @Badgardener good point! I'd like to visit one, some day

He says a similar thing about snow and ice, but in pictures, he just looks like a person-shaped black hole.

@Badgardener bright colored clothes are the best! Once it was winter and I was just sick and tired of black and gray. I went shopping for something bright. Walked into a store and immediately felt intimidated because it seemed to be way out of my price range. The salesperson asked what I was looking for, and I saved face by the fact that they only sold black and gray stuff.

Urban camouflage for the terminally dull. In truth most climbing jackets, particularly for winter, come in a range of bright colours: not only do they pop on pictures, but they massively increase visibility for rescue services.
How are you finding Civilisation?

But he's wrong about snow and ice. Bright colors are still better. At least on a sunny day. Maybe black works on a cloudy day, when the photos look black and white anyway -
@Badgardener
I actually haven't been inside yet. we're saving it for a rainy day -

@GustavinoBevilacqua @Badgardener yep! We've been super fortunate weather-wise but it couldn't last forever
