So you mean to tell me that...
Firaxis never put an advertisement for next strategy game INSIDE the credits roll for the game they just released. Said game did not have "UI designed by Zachtronics". Said game was not a strategy game which, later in the game, had heavy reliance on trains that were very challenging to their full potential. I did not never finish this game despite starting it multiple times and it having little replay value due to a static map. There was not a single very specific scenic ocean peninsula spot on the map where there were 4 aluminum deposits and no it wasn't a big gotcha that many players built there before they realized there was aluminum there. You did not have to make sure while placing the aluminum mines on this 2x2 of spots that you arranged/oriented them properly so that the TF2 RED and BLU teams working at the mines wouldn't murder each other. At no point ever did people hold a once-in-a-lifetime Tetris tournament inside these common to build structures, first from the ground floor then from an upper floor, and no at no point did this Firaxis strategy game suddenly turn into an immersive first-person experience that could host such a feat. Also at no point did said finalist Tetris players have to play the upper floor game, which lasted hours, with boots on their hands because it was the only equippable item that wouldn't bug out after how long they have been playing. At no point did this all happen right around the time an RCE exploit got found in the game that then got patched. And no, of course the timing issues mentioned before had nothing to do with Bethesda's shitcode.
All of this information was presented to me as if this was some absolutely classic moment in gaming that I've known about for years and just re-watched a youtube video about. -

firaxis actually did put a civ beyond earth ad in civ5
i don't remember if it was only for science victories or all of them though
