A question about pens.
I'm left-handed and I prefer writing with fountain pens. With ballpoints and the like I produce scratchy nonsense.
For years I've used disposable fountain pens - Pilot V or whatever Bic's pens are called.
I feel a little bit bad about the single-use plastic, but I like having pens in lots of places.
Pilot V-pens are getting more expensive, and I'm not sure if Bic even make theirs any more. I'd like to avoid Amazon if possible.
So, what should I buy? Is there anything non-Amazon for less than £2 per pen, or is there a cheap cartridge pen that I can buy half a dozen of without immediately regretting it?
EDIT: I've used Lamy in the past and I don't enjoy the grip.

@christianp A very cheap refillable fountain pen is a Platinum Preppy. Don’t know how much cartridges are I don’t think it takes the international standard cartridges. But it’s a very good pen performing better than many others at a higher price point. You could get a converter, but the converter is quite expensive in comparison to the pen. The reasons probably because the same converter can be used on much more expensive platinum pens.

@FPLover @christianp the Preppy doesn't take internationa cartridges, but they sell an adaptor to be able to use them.
I've bought the adaptor (iirc it was about 1 €), but I've never used it, because I also splurged on converters for each of my preppys (yes, they cost more than the pen, but I expect them to last, and I like to use bottled ink)
(anyway, I second, third, thousand-or-something the recommendation for preppys, imho they are one of the best fountain pens for just writing)
