People who were not Quilters - infamous fat quarter users - also need to store fabric !
Nothing against quilting, nor quilters nor fat quarters :)

@Faintdreams 2 meters is more than the amount that shops around here sell as suitable for one garment!
(which is based on the amount needed for a below-the-knee length conservative looking pencil skirt, which [insert rant here])

Yeah Fat Quarters is an unfortunate measurement shorthand, but I don't think linguistically it's going anywhere.
Everyone of every body shape and every mobility ability - DESERVES clothes that fit them they way they want too!
I deem everyone that does #Sewing / #YarnCraft math (eg making things from cloth or yarn) a #CraftWitch (irregardless of gender) and we are all AMAZING.
