Maybe someone can help me.
My wife found in the basement a box of "aluminium sleeves double - inner: ø 2.00 mm", like those here:
https://www.pechextreme.com/en/sleeves/89-sleeve-alu-double-20-mm.htmlI can't imagine their use: to protect knots, perhaps?

@GustavinoBevilacqua making loops on the end of steel cable

@cinebox @GustavinoBevilacqua like so

They're for cable.There's a good picture w/cable on this page:

They can also be used on rope, my wife has horse ropes that are crimped into loops with large ones. For a nice finished look cover with heat shrink tubing after crimping.

Wow, thanks a lot, interesting link!

@Bette @GustavinoBevilacqua Yeah, they are for making loops with plastic line or metal cables that you can't tie into a knot like rope.
-
@GustavinoBevilacqua also for splicing cables - two are used for that: https://images.app.goo.gl/BfLPuR97ZynZ8HH56

Those work great to create end loops on steal cable, plastic-coated wire, etc.
And I’ve seen them used in relation to these, for example.
Good way to hang up clothes lines, for example, along with hooks and turnbuckles.

Nice ideas, thanks!
