For the third (maybe fourth?) time in the last couple years, I've lost the "salty" taste. I smell everything just fine, I taste eveyrthing else just fine.
Except salt.
I assure you: it's *genuinely* unpleasant. Like, you wouldn't believe how incredibly bad most food tastes without any salt at all.
(It *could* be a zinc deficiency symptom and I have a bunch of other related symptoms plus a potential cause, so it's realistic)

Some notes about food when you can't taste any salt:
- green salad is tolerable
- crisps are an abomination unto Nuggan
- "veggie" crsps too
- "salt and vinegar" crisps are a crime
- cookies are so sweet it hurts
- cucumbers are fine
- pasta tastes like aminoacids
- ketchup/mayo/remoulade are mildly offensive
- fish fingers and the like are bearable
- halloumi is NASTY(didn't try them all today, mind)
Will update with future horrors
