Been trying to get to this for a while. But now that the bigger vice is working, I can use it to help fix the other one I actually got first.
Basically, there’s a head pin on the end of the screw that acts as an axle for the screw at the back of the vise. This axle was bent (vise was probably dropped) thus the screw wouldn’t turn.
I thought I’d have to heat the pin to straighten it. But it was already soft. I put it in the other vise, a couple gentle pulls… straight enough.
