What at that age criticised the capitalist approach, all of its flaws and red flags, were overlooked as impossible or inefficient, or so expensive that it wasn't even an option.
Buy today all those black hat practices are actively implemented and supported as apps, masqueraded as optimisations. That's, as an example, how cartels, that should be illegal, are leveraging data brokers to tell them the "optimal" prices.
