Wow this #Lenovo #ThinkPad is crap. Lost the USB-C port a few months after purchase. Sometimes key get soft-locked stuck for no apparent reason.
More recently, the up-arrow has become less responsive (something stuck inside? broken sensor? who knows), and the nib buttons (the ones *above* the touchpad) have started acting up too (right one seems to have completely stopped responding now). Time to go do an #RMA, methinks. -
Things have drastically improved. Now the whole keyboard doesn't work, even after a cold boot. Managed to procure an external keyboard to enter the BIOS test mode: most of the keys do not work. A couple of those that do work send the wrong key code. A few keys work correctly (shift, control, alt). For some reason, pressing K on the built in keyboard turns on the backlight on the external keyboard.

So, I've activated the #DEPOT procedure for my #Lenovo #ThinkPad. They'll come get it tomorrow at work and hopefully I'll get it back in working condition in 5-10 work days, just in time for the end-of-year holiday season. I got an SMS reminding me to do a full backup (which I was going to do anyway, but thanks for the reminder anyway), and an email with attached the instructions on preparing the package. Except that the attachment was missing.

OK, I guess I will have another ago at playing around with my #SteamDeck to do some serious work, aside from using it to play #CryptOfTheNecrodancer
