coming back to this game in particular because every once in a while i go "i should replay the original trilogy!" and then by the time i finish 2 i don't have the energy, so it's actually been a while since i played 3 in particular
-
oh yeah you can present profiles whenever you please in this game, can't you? that's cool, i miss that, i think in later games they went back to only allowing you to object with evidence and answer specific "who" questions with profiles
-
i've said it before but i'd LOVE a full game about mia. the two times we get to play as her are her first and second trials. i want to play as an experienced mia, who's learned the tricks of the trade. i want to play as the mia who taught nick. i want to see her courtroom tactics, staying a little cooler than nick does, a little less bluffing. i want to see her using what she's learned from the prosecutors, let you set traps for them to walk into
-
everything else notwithstanding, it is fucking weird that the prosecution gets to call the defendant, get them to testify, and then force their own attorney to tear them apart over it. like why can't i go "no objections your honor, this dude's rock solid". he's my guy. i like him
-
i'm sure that the prosecution has the ability to go "so, the defense has no objections, which is weird because i can prove that testimony is full of lies" so i have to actually play along, but like. why is it my job to make my guy look bad? why aren't you pointing out, as part of having the witness testify, the problems with what they're saying, and then letting me actually defend on cross? it's just weird
-
it's for gameplay. i do get it
-
how does phoenix tell their defendant to shut up only once in the entire trilogy? (specifically in 1-1, with larry)
-
@steffo wait does he? it's been a minute lmao
-
-
it just sucks that i'm going to tear down my own guy and then winston fucking payne is going to say "Hee hee hee, what a blunder, Miss Fey... Like a fly in my web, you've fallen into my trap" or some shit
it's not really a trap you just made me do it
-
@steffo@a.junimo.party @monorail@glaceon.social huh this is a thing?
-
-
[loud cheering]
-
where's this energy the rest of the time?
-
"...Madame Fey."
"Madame?! (I'm no one's grandma yet!)"
this is an honourifics joke that didn't survive localization, right? it seems like they should have just written a new joke that does work
-
god i love that mia doesn't have to say a word. payne is trying to defend dahlia but she just glares at him so hard he crumples like wet cardboard
-
i like when they do stuff like this
the victim died at approximately 3pm. and the building lost power at approximely 3pm. that's all true
but the victim's watch is stopped at 3:05pm, and the building lost power at 2:55pm. you gotta look
-
i thought the stolen turnabout was 2-2... like i thought it was thematically important that it came before 2-4 haha
-
you know it is actually sad that mia thinks "I'm no one's grandma yet!"
"yet"... did she want to have kids
-
here we go
-
i feel like i get stuck right at the start of this case every time i play it. like there's just something i didn't examine, so the "finished investigation" flag isn't set and atmey isn't at his office
