@MelissaBearTrix There are actual accidents with them though. Used to be (maybe they still) grow in Berkeley, and every year or two somebody would need a liver transplant.

I would think it would depend on a lot of factors, age, how far they are gone, it's also supposed to be a hell of a time for the donor

Yeah. Just read about an 18 month old kid back in 2017. Liver failure so advanced it caused brain damage. Somewhere in northern California, several adults poisoned too. Looks like it's raining a lot more, mushrooms are growing in unexpected places, and people are plain fucking ignorant about them.

In the past century my parents had a summer house on the Alps.
The people of that valley divided the mushrooms in two types: porcino¹
and "Ligurian mushrooms"
, because tourists from Liguria picked everything else with a cap and a stem.
