Had a wild 10 NM sail yesterday. Lots of waves washed over the deck. Unfortunately, we forgot to secure 2 of 4 latches on the window at the bow, and so our bedding, as well as some of our clothes, got all wet. When you’re tired it’s really the worst feeling for your bedding, as well as your pyjamas, to be wet.
The clothes are now outside, getting rinsed by rain, while the bedding is in front of the running wood stove.

To be fair the wind wasn’t forecasted to be from that strength and from that direction, regardless, we ought to secure everything even if we expect calm weather. A good lesson. We normally secure everything, but sometimes we get lazy…

Last night’s tropical-style rain rinsed all of the salt out of the clothes we left hanging outside, and the sun came out today so most things are now clean and dry ^____^…
