Dear BSD Cafe friends,
we have Matrix and a wonderful Delta Chat relay.A BSD Cafe xmpp server...
-
@stefano is there some simple Matrix vs Delta Chat vs XMPP material somewhere ? Like features comparison (end-to-end encryption, groups, …), client side usage (apps, web, …).
To get a better overview for "if I were to convince a 20 bunch of friends and family to get out of FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord), which one would be the more adequate.
-
@stefano I'm not on BSD Cafe, but I'll put my two cents to say that hosting a small XMPP server doesn't require a lot of effort, way less than other common self-hostable things.
unless your users all require help every other day, but I guess that's not really your target :)
