Neighbor kid asked me ever so politely if she could go in my little garden. I told her she doesn't even have to ask, she always has the right. Came back from my bike ride and there a couple more kids there, and one of the moms was telling them not to go in my garden. So I assured the mom, too, that we actually love it that the kids like to play in our garden.

What was it, do you think, which made her want to go in your garden rather than her own?
(Apart from you clearly being a cool dudette)

@Badgardener it's our rock garden! The kids love it because they can stack rocks, and they can jump from rocky area to rocky area, playing the-plants-are-lava.

So kids can be trained not to trample all over the plants?
Asking for a friend.
Plus, do you just have a giant pile of rocks?

@Badgardener
It's river rocks surrounding islands of thyme and other low plants. Here's a photo from last summer.
The kids love avoiding the plants - I think it's a fun game and challenge for them.
