Another thing left in the garage for us was this flat box. It’s a meter long, 60cm wide and 5 cm deep closed. It hinges on an end and opens into a 2-meter, ruled surface. The inside houses rickety metal legs. I think it’s a sewing aid of some sort, and the poor quality seems aimed for young teens.
I’m sizing the plastic for my garage divider curtains, and realized this could be useful in making those. I may mod the box later for my layout tools. The cheap tube legs go to the metal shop.

@wedge Nah mate, that's a Tapeziertisch*! National hobby of Germans, rolling starch based glue onto long strips of paper and sticking it to their walls.
It has been used, as evidenced by the dried starch glue on it. It's got to be long but is never actually long enough, so you have to do some kind of clever fold-roll trick.
I still hate wallpaper because of all the time I spent on these things in my formative years

Yes, we had them even in Italy as "tavolo da tappezziere", usually 3 meters long.
