@steffo Oh yeah, I haven't found that one ha ha
It's the one that makes the game play more like HK, right?

@steffo The only ones I have that I've felt good about are the default one and the Reaper one, and my impression is that the Crest of the Reaper seems less good for boss fights than it does for rooms
IMO a lot of the bosses in this game could be improved by leaving all their very fun mechanics intact but just lowering the health for each phase
I think that all the mechanics in the Final Judge fight are really fun but it could have been like two thirds as long of a fight
@steffo Oh I just mean, "I can see a future where I defeat this boss, I'm working it out"
I met Last Judge and, as with many of the other bosses I've run into, the first couple attempts made me think "Hey what the fuck?" and then I started going "Oh... OHH... I can do this" ha ha
FACT 1: Obtaining the Crest of the Beast auto-equips it
FACT 2: To unequip the Crest of the Beast, you have to sit at a bench
COMPLICATION: I now have to find a way to survive all the way to a bench while wearing the Crest of the Beast
Okay, boss wasn't TOOOO too bad but I get why people said it was frustrating. I had to decide to never ever get greedy, I spent the whole fight just hitting it with one needle swing at a time, never even trying for more lest I pay a price I wasn't willing to
Baiting it into taking care of its own spawned enemies for me was nice as well. This one wasn't a bait though I just got super lucky ha ha
I don't know have any opinion about this boss yet I just think it's horeshit that the boss roar cancels my bind but I still lose all my silk
I'm just so lost. I don't get it. I'm the only person in the world who's struggling to exist in this game and it does feel like there's something wrong with me
Not to mention the only bench that's even remotely nearby is trapped. So when I die I'm sent back 45 seconds away from even the beginning of the area I'm dying to because they didn't put a bench there
I'd love to fast travel over there, because I've been there before, but the one time I crossed Hunter's Marsh I died like 10 times so I couldn't afford to open the fast travel station
Like I could bash my head into it and eventually get through, like I did last time, but I can't buy the thing I want to go to the other side for so I guess I'm back to grinding out a hundred rosary beads from enemies that drop like 3 at a time
There is a game here that I could love but every second it pushes me away and I don't understand why. Every once in a while I get through one fight against a basic enemy in the middle of a room without getting hit and I think "Okay, maybe I can get the hang of this" and then I can't traverse the second area without diving into spikes because trying to maneuver feels so toxic
Why am I the only person in the world who can't feel out what the game wants from me
Like I thought "Maybe I'll finally get a map for one of the areas where I don't know where anything is, or the compass, or something" but I lost a hundred rosary beads again because nothing lines up or feels right. I don't know what's wrong with me but whatever it is isn't motivating me to go grind for another hundred rosary beads
Why did they put the hardest platforming challenge in the series here, in like the second area
I do Path Of Pain for fun
I've at least 300 of my rosary beads, permanently, to dying to spikes there. I've spent maybe 150 rosary beads ever
I know the combat feeling terrible is my fault but the movement gimmick in Hunter's Marsh where you have to dive into the orange things, they just made it wrong, right? Like they just didn't make it line up?
I've permanently lost more rosary beads than I've ever spent because they don't line up.
@steffo Scout cannons provide way too much force to items for some reason. So you can put a backpack in a cannon, light it, stand on the backpack, and shoot kilometers into the air
I successfully used it to skip the entire Mesa on this run (flew from the Tropics campfire all the way to the fog wall, cancelled my fall damage with Pandora's Lunchbox) but when I tried to do a similar thing to skip the Kiln I went too far and fell out of bounds :)
