do we think librarians, who deal with kids and books as their profession, decide what is in a library and who can see which and how the books are contectualized and presented, ordo we think politicians should step into this role?I understand there might be different opinions, but I am pretty positive on librarians, their training, ethics, and responsiveness to their communities. But I am not representative in that I spend most of my time with librarians.

@GustavinoBevilacqua @brewsterkahle friend I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but the USA is also a poor country now. We have a handful of ultra wealthy people, then there were corporations, and the rest is poverty, though a whole bunch of people pretend they’re not poor because they pay $1000 a month car payments, but that’s poverty right there. Nobody who is actually well off with sign up for something like that.
