Is there like a fedi equivalent of matrix.to that redirects/shows you how to follow someone on a remote instance?

I propose we add a new "rule for the internet": never repurpose a group chat/Discord "server" ever.

I don't really get why people do this, it's literally like 2 clicks to make a fresh one and it'll save you a lot of embarrassment or a cancellation. ​​

@steffo@a.junimo.party I'm getting everything ready as if it is. We should be good to go if everyone who said they wanted to join shows up but I'm a bit worried about no-shows.

Either way I'll have the room open at that time, I'm just not going to bother making a show of it and tracking results if it's just you me and @esheep that shows up. So far it seems like we have 5-6 but one of them is a huge maybe.

Don't expect anything serious or on the same calibur as Fedi gear I'm kinda just testing to see how many people I can fill in during this time slot and GGST seems to be what most people in my circle care about.

I understand why everyone is kind of annoyed by games just getting rereleases rather than new entries for single player games. That being said, for multiplayer games I kind of like how devs seem to be changing focus from pumping out what are already essentially glorified rereleases every year and focusing on just improving what's already out there. I really don't think we need a new Mario Kart, Pokemon or Call of Duty when they're pretty much just updates anyways and releasing them this frequently tends to come at the cost of having less content because they felt the need to redo everything.

My only major gripe is that I don't want to buy the same game again and I feel like I shouldn't have to as a PC player but I guess some of this is unavoidable because of consoles.

Well I'm not sure if the Lucy patch is 2.0 or if that's later? Either way you know what I meant.

I just really want to see the patch notes for Strive 2.0 already to rip the bandaid off. I'm sure it'll be fine in the end but I don't trust ArcSys to release such a big balance patch and not have something go wrong day 1. I imagine the Fedigear qualifier that's scheduled for patch day is going to be rough...

Jokes aside I kinda wish more fighting games had a mode where you can watch people play and then bet worthless monopoly money on the winner. iirc one of the Smash Bros games had it (It was either Wii U or Brawl I don't remember). I think it would be good way of teaching how other people play while also making it a lot more hype.

I get why it's not really a thing because gambling is very bad and I wouldn't actually want real gambling to be a thing but I feel like GGST would really get away with it because after you get all the fish stuff you can't really do anything else with the in-game money anyways?
