@GustavinoBevilacqua yes, true. I prefer meeting people in person in any case. Small villages or communities often have their own problems, it probably has to do with contact with the 'outside' world. There can be too little of it and the community becomes very insular and wary of strangers.

RE: Ok, alphabet pasta is funny… but have you ever imagined *emoji* pasta?
@GustavinoBevilacqua one could say, this is a variation on the saying in EN 'Say it with flowers' - say it with alphabet pasta

@GustavinoBevilacqua still, a very successful photo, in the culinary sense

RE: One of the items I found in the storage space under the couch.
@GustavinoBevilacqua I found 3 forks and 3 knives in total. They can be stacked, because they are concave underneath. Now i saw they can all be stacked, so really efficient and space saving!

RE: One of the items I found in the storage space under the couch.
@GustavinoBevilacqua yeah, I also thought that

@GustavinoBevilacqua grazie, now I will have to work out how to use it:))

One of the items I found in the storage space under the couch.
One of the items I found in the storage space under the couch. Quite interesting how intricate the design is!! I have no idea what company made it, but it looks like it was probably made some time ago. I don't use plastic forks, but from what I know, these items are manufactured without much detail nowadays. I am quite certain though that this fork pre-dates the onset of 3D printing. But it looks so perfectly made, even if it's only a plastic fork!
@GustavinoBevilacqua
Any ideas perhaps? -

I suspect it's a pasta maker (?!!) but I never used one before. What is great is the ☺ face on it, if you look closer.

Every moment has a 'golden lining', maybe all we need to do, is to find it:); I woke up feeling terrible, incl. a huge headache and after a while, the most helpful activity was to de-clutter. The ancient dust from unde- the-couch drawer was removed, and a couple of useful items re-discovered. Like this little hand-operated device, which I still need to work out how to use (and what it's purpose is ??) -

RE: Nel 2015 feci questo, e me ne venne richiesta una copia anche con testo tedesco (in italiano era "Il consumo ti consuma").
@PaoloParti @GustavinoBevilacqua @oblomov
UPC code number 037600115445 is associated with ...? Okay, this IS pretty cool

@GustavinoBevilacqua this is really good! I sometimes also have these moments of association or 'dissociation' (?) , ve been thinking about the names for the generations, so widespread nowadays, I came up with a summary term for all : 'waste generation' , which is already a term in itself!

RE: In May this year I had a rare opportunity to spend some time at an anarchist community on a farm in the south of Italy.
I ate some wonderful pasta dishes cooked with generosity and expertise. I drank the wine from the farm.I fed the chickens and played with the dogs. Unfortunately my Italian wasn't good enough to take part in the political debates. But it was an experience I will never forget.

In May this year I had a rare opportunity to spend some time at an anarchist community on a farm in the south of Italy. I took part in the meetings where tasks were distributed on a voluntary basis. I helped in the vineyard and the vegetable garden, the bakery and in the kitchen, I swept the verandas and went cycling to the nearest town with some of the community residents for a beer. I also went on a car trip and spent an amazing day on the beach with some of the younger community members.

RE: @GustavinoBevilacqua since I'm fascinated by all things floral and otherwise :) and am attempting to 'studio italiano' while I'm at it, I have a question for you - your profile states: 'Se son fiori fioriranno'
@GustavinoBevilacqua Acc to the AI that nowadays pops up on my device everytime i want to ask anything "there is no established meaning for "the pen is mightier than the pig" as it is not a recognized idiom."
I guess this AI hasn't been (yet) trained to make the association of 'pig' and those who are legally entitled to excessive use of violence. Another proof of gugle partiality, I guess.

@GustavinoBevilacqua than the sword in EN of course, but is there such a saying in Italian? And what is it in the original? Yesterday I've started a free version of learning Italian with an AI as 'my personal tutor' (it's an app, one of many that sprout up all over that place) so I can ask 'it' about it
, just to test how clued up it is.

@GustavinoBevilacqua Dada is one of my all time favourites. They tried to subvert the status quo, but sadly realized that it cannot be done by words alone, not even by means of 'think tanks', if the opponent has real tanks. Which (kind of :) brings me back to the start ☺ of the Italian floral saying, which acc to AI I consulted this am, has the rough equivalent 'actions speak louder than words'. But I think i prefer another equivalent (also provided by AI) 'the proof us in the pudding
'
