@reiver this smells a little of "all I have is a hammer...". And it's not true we have much better tools, some of them even open source.

* #brutalinks - a link aggregator inspired by (old) reddit, hacker news and lobste.rs built on top of FedBOX.
* #oni - a single user ActivityPub server with minimal fuss.

Having to backport new features across 4 versions is becoming a bit of a pain in the butt I have to say.
