Good people of Mastodon (and beyond), I do not call individuals out for posting big chunks of text in an image without alt-text, but it's really not the best way to share what you feel is worth knowing. Often, the colors or size in an image make the text very hard to read even with excellent vision.
Part of adding value with what you post is to make sure anyone can read it. Please show consideration by using alt-text in those image text posts.
Recent MacOS can copy image text in Preview.
SCREENREADER USERS
I'd like to know if you are able to disable the reading of hashtags on your favorite social networks. I think some allow the option to ignore or limit the number read?
Can someone inform me?

I had ordered a print drum and didn't need it, so stuck in the garage. Today I was getting ghost images on the laser, so I cleaned the fuser roller, but it had a single spot on it. I found the replacement and installed it.

Linda Lavin has been acting since the 1960s, a successful career in theatre, movies and TV. I was watching a 2025 TV series and suddenly one of the characters died. It was Linda Lavin's last part.

Ok, so I decided to accumulate a hundred or so (will take less than a day) and grep for the sender IP. Then I can further play to get a simple list. The idea is to see if there are a few IPs sending the majority. So far, I've looked at a few manually (show original) and whois'ed the networks. If there's one that is doing the majority, I'll try to complain.
