In other news - when chipping #buckthorn branches, those things really fight back. My forearms are very well scratched up.
That weed of a tree grows branches at crazy angles and they're always grabbing at you, hoping to kill you for fertilizer.
interestingly though, I found the wood to be rather nice for carving - though you don't often have a piece big enough to do much with.

Kevlar welding sleeves could be helpful.

@GustavinoBevilacqua That would have been good. I was thinking too about the sleeves hop pickers wear which would've been good.
Sadly it was too hot for putting a heavy shirt on, so I tried to just be careful, and wasn't very effective at it.
