I have been using some variety of Linux based OS as my primary desktop computing environment for around 20 years and I have never and would never try to convince anyone else to do the same.

In fact, I would not recommend computers at all. I advocate for leaving technology behind, retreating into the wilderness, and raising a new generation on carefully crafted tales of horror and doom so that should a stranger ever wander into the village with a glowing rectangle they will be thrown into a lake immediately.
