@ottaross anyway, I've recently moved to a place where on one side I'm directly adjacent to woods that are as natural as one gets in Europe, i.e. not modern monoculture, but places that have been shaped by millennia of use by humans for wood and some food (chestnuts!). So while I don't directly see them from my windows, I know that in those woods there are (unpaved) roads, paths, religious buildings, and some non-native plants.I'm not sure whether I can see mountains, or if they are all covered by the tall hills that surround the area, but I can definitely see plenty of those.

@ottaross if we look at it closely, even eating a regular, non-carnivorous plant is probably responsible for the killing of many animals through pesticides and similar practices.Being vegan or vegetarian is not about being morally perfect, it is about doing the bare minimum to not be responsible for the torture and death of millions of individuals. It's not perfect, it's just the first step.I doubt the carnivorous plant will even be in someone's plate, but whether that's ok for vegetarians to eat it or not is beyond the point in my opinion.Eating an animal like a cow kills WAY more plants than I could ever eat in a day, so you see, it's about choosing to minimise exploitation and torture of other beings' bodies.
