@Remittancegirl what I'm reading on some Italian press is that he's probably a compromise, in line with Francis on migrants, the global South and the climate crisis, but more conservative on women and lgbt+ people.It's a shame that most self-described christian people in power (and their supporters) are probably going to ignore him as usual on the former, and only listen on the latter.

Ironically, for yukatas and kimono, you really do not want a very strong thread. You don’t even want a particularly strong seam. That’s why hand-sewing is always preferable. The point is to be able to take the garment apart fairly easily, without it ever damaging the fabric itself. A seam can always be resewn. Once the fabric rips, it’s weakened forever.
