@dillyd Here is one of the ways to make a better base: the borders of the hole are too small to rely just on them.Remember to dust the lower face of the floor, so the glue works better (you can use a bent toothbrush).Try the patch below until it fits well (it must be 20 or more mm larger than the hole, to have enough gripping surface).Then add the glue (generously) and let it dry 24 hrs.When the base is solid, you can make whatever you want over it.More in alt-text… hope this helps!
