Took it apart. Looks like it will indeed go back together as a simple penknife, leaving out the broken blade and its locking piece, the center divider, and the corkscrew. Probably a bit delicate after, but good for cutting melon vines and whatnot.Only problem is the butt end of the one metal side that was badly damaged. No way to fix it. Would have to make a new one from something thin. Will need new pins, too.Fourth photo from wikipedia, similar end result.
